      6 Hi!  I am a software engineer interested in [a bunch of things].

      8 I kept worrying about forgetting stuff so I started taking notes; then
      9 I started worrying about those notes being scattered over multiple
     10 antediluvian computers so I figured I should put them all in one
     11 repository and back them up somewhere.

     13 This is the somewhere.

     15 Also I'd like to join the [blogging bandwagon], and maybe publishing
     16 this stuff is a good first step.  In practice though I don't have much
     17 to share, apart maybe from a [list of itches with free-software
     18 projects] that, despite my best efforts, keeps growing monotonically.

     20 I find it tough to cook up proper patches while [keeping up with my
     21 industry], [screwing around with my computers], and leaving the
     22 keyboard long enough to convince my loved ones that I'm still alive
     23 (and that I do love them).

     25 This repository is a work in progress; I have a truckload of notes to
     26 beat into shape before adding them here.  Some links above may seem
     27 dead; actually, they were never alive to begin with.  I guess that
     28 makes them… gestating?
