2019-05-25Fix refined faces for Ediff and SmergeKévin Le Gouguec
2019-05-25Revamp diff facesKévin Le Gouguec
2019-05-25Fix smerge faces and prepare for The Diff RevampKévin Le Gouguec
Also remove TODO for Man-overstrike; I just don't care enough to think about this.
2019-03-23Customize some AUCTeX facesKévin Le Gouguec
- Vanilla tex-mode's faces work fine for me most of the time. - I don't see the point of adding colors to bold and italic text. - Shadowed markup is best markup. - The default color for dark themes is a bit in-your-face. Also use variable-pitch for outlines (including Org); wooksh pwettyah.
2019-03-05Specify more diff-related facesKévin Le Gouguec
- diff indicators - smerge
2018-11-16Note down an itch on mode-line faceKévin Le Gouguec
2018-11-14Add faces for margin VC indicatorsKévin Le Gouguec
2018-11-14Customize a bunch of Org facesKévin Le Gouguec
2018-05-21Make magit-blame annotations less in-your-faceKévin Le Gouguec
Not sure if giving 'shadow the same foreground as comments is a good idea; the rationale is to limit the number of colors…
2018-05-21Make magit-diff* faces use orange and blueKévin Le Gouguec
The hunk refinement feature relies on the diff-refine-* faces, which I customized to use orange and blue. That resulted in red-and-green sections with orange-and-blue words. I'm not satisfied with the current result though; the blue does not stand out enough to my taste.
2018-01-31Use a single shade of redKévin Le Gouguec
Someday I'll declare those variables I keep talking about…
2018-01-30Remove family and height from the default specKévin Le Gouguec
Add this snippet in ~/.Xresouces: emacs.font: DejaVu Sans Mono-10 Then run xrdb ~/.Xresources.
2017-12-08Remove magit facesKévin Le Gouguec
I have to think more about the interactions between - default - comments - shadow - magit-hash - magit-diff-context-highlight - magit-diff-hunk-heading - magit-diff-hunk-heading-highlight - magit-section-highlight
2017-11-30Change "white smoke" to "gainsboro"Kévin Le Gouguec
Less contrast.
2017-11-13Make spelling of "gray" homogeneousKévin Le Gouguec
2017-11-13Tweak mode-line faces *again*Kévin Le Gouguec
2017-11-12Remove boxes on mode-lineKévin Le Gouguec
Distinguish active from inactive by making active black-on-white, and inactive light-grey-on-dark-grey (like comments).
2017-10-30Remove Info-quoted customizationKévin Le Gouguec
Not worth this much highlighting.
2017-09-08Make term-colors and here-docs use the theme's coloursKévin Le Gouguec
2017-08-26Simplify string/type face and customize ANSI colorsKévin Le Gouguec
2017-03-05Make current diff section stand out more in MagitKévin Le Gouguec
2017-02-15Make completions-common-part dimmerKévin Le Gouguec
2017-02-13Make mode-line in current frame more noticeableKévin Le Gouguec
Also: - emulate the "white on grey" buffer ID from the console - reduce the contrast on vertical borders - make header line more prominent Could be worth defining a single symbol to reuse for vertical-border, fringe and comments.
2017-02-05Tweak mode line (again)Kévin Le Gouguec
Play with box line width to distinguish between active and inactive windows. … I might actually end up taking a liking to putting steel-blue shit everywhere (eg mode-line box border, vertical-border).)
2017-02-05Make header-line independent of mode-lineKévin Le Gouguec
Stop :inverting-video by not :inheriting anymore; wrap header-line in a nice box 🎁.
2017-02-05Use :inverse-video in mode lineKévin Le Gouguec
I find it's the easiest way to make the following faces work out: - compilation-mode-line-* - paradox-mode-line-* - font-lock-function-name-face, when using eldoc with M-: Side-effect: now Magit's frame headers are inverted.
2017-02-04Make background darker; stop customizing mode-lineKévin Le Gouguec
Reduce highlighting; synchronize magit-section-highlight with highlight.
2017-02-04(m) Remove fringe workaroundKévin Le Gouguec
I could add a comment in there to explain why the fringe's background needs to be set explicitly, but whatever. My dotfiles are the one place where I don't have to keep cruft if I don't want to.
2016-11-17Remove mode-line-buffer-id faceKévin Le Gouguec
Bold works well enough for emphasis.
2016-10-12Make regexp grouping characters stand out moreKévin Le Gouguec
2016-09-26Increase contrast on constants and ERC inputKévin Le Gouguec
2016-09-25Reduce contrast on region and constantsKévin Le Gouguec
2016-09-25Make fringe background *explicitly* identical to default backgroundKévin Le Gouguec
Otherwise if another theme (e.g. misterioso) is loaded before eighters, the fringe keeps the old theme's background.
2016-09-21Make mostly invisible changesKévin Le Gouguec
- Why use "foo1" if it's equivalent to "foo"? - Don't want to leave ediff-fine-diff-C alone 🤷
2016-07-14Add face for quoted strings in InfoKévin Le Gouguec
2016-06-28Add face for which-func markerKévin Le Gouguec
Default face is too dark.
2015-11-19Tweak gray stuffKévin Le Gouguec
* make highlight lighter * make comments gray (yet another thing stolen from tangotango) * move "default" face to top of file
2015-11-16Make modeline gold-on-blackKévin Le Gouguec
This better conveys which window is under focus: gold-on-black-on-grey looks sharper than gold-on-grey-on-grey.
2015-10-29Use nw-like mode line when compilingKévin Le Gouguec
2015-10-29Reduce font size and make fringe less visibleKévin Le Gouguec
2015-10-23Add Custom and Diff header facesKévin Le Gouguec
Also fix :inherit in diff faces.
2015-10-23Remove cruft in face definitionKévin Le Gouguec
2015-10-23Remove redundant facesKévin Le Gouguec
Emacs automatically gets those right by checking background.
2015-10-23Add Custom-generated file + tweaksKévin Le Gouguec
Eighters gonna eight.
